One retailer determined to make an even bigger impact during Thinking of You Week 2026 is Highworth Emporium, where owner Aga Marsden is aiming to double the number of cards distributed during the campaign.
After a hugely successful initiative last year, which saw over 1,000 cards delivered to people across the local community, Aga’s goal for this year’s Thinking of You Week, taking place from 21st to 27th September, is to reach 2,000 recipients.

Bringing Communities Together
Last year, Highworth Emporium worked with local schools, customers and community groups to write and distribute cards to care home residents, hospice patients, support groups and elderly members of the community.
The project captured the true spirit of Thinking of You Week, demonstrating how a simple handwritten card can create meaningful moments of connection and brighten someone’s day.
The response from recipients was overwhelmingly positive, inspiring Aga and her team to expand the initiative even further this year.
Aiming Even Higher in 2026
With plans to double the number of cards distributed, preparations are already well underway.
The project has already attracted support from a number of greeting card publishers, helping Highworth Emporium move closer to its ambitious target. Every donated card will be used to spread kindness and remind someone that they are being thought about.
Speaking about this year’s campaign, Aga said:
“Last year’s project showed just how much a thoughtful card can mean. We’re hoping to reach even more people this year and create even more reasons to smile.”
Could You Do Something Similar?
Highworth Emporium’s story is a wonderful reminder that Thinking of You Week can take many forms. Whether it’s a community card-writing project, an in-store display, a local event or simply encouraging customers to send an extra card, every activity helps spread the campaign’s message.
