As Thinking of You Week approaches, we’re delighted to share a special contribution from Helen Walters, founder of Shmuncki Poem Gifts.

Known for creating poetry-led cards and gifts, Helen has written a heartfelt poem especially for this year’s campaign, celebrating the power of sending a card and the meaningful connections it creates.
The poem beautifully captures the essence of Thinking of You Week. Reflecting on the many important moments in life, it reminds us that while digital messages can be sent in seconds, there is something uniquely special about taking the time to choose a card, write a personal message and send it through the post.
With verses that encourage us to pause and think of others, Helen’s words highlight the lasting impact of a handwritten card and the comfort, support and joy it can bring. The poem is a wonderful reflection of the Thinking of You Week message: that a simple gesture can make a real difference to someone’s day.

This is not the first time Helen has supported the campaign. Helen previously penned a special poem for Thinking of You Week, helping to champion the importance of connecting through cards and reminding us all of the value of staying in touch.
Alongside the poem, Helen has also shared images of her Here for You and Thinking of You greeting cards, which feature in Schmunki’s Frameables Collection.

Combining thoughtful words with simple, elegant designs, the cards perfectly complement the campaign’s focus on kindness, connection and showing people that they matter.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Helen at Shmuncki Poem Gifts for supporting Thinking of You Week and helping us spread the message that sending a card remains one of the most meaningful ways to stay connected.
Thinking of You Week takes place from 21-27 September.
