Former professional dancer, Rachel Church knows only too well about the importance of keeping in step with the demands of the day, and so, as founder and creative head of Nottingham-based card, stationery and gift company, Rachel Ellen Designs set about coming up with creative ways to help people to cope with the pressures of lockdown.

“With the vast majority of our stockists closed, we’re using our website and various social media platforms to support, entertain and engage with consumers as much as possible,” explains Rachel.

As part of this Rachel has adapted some of her distinctive hand-drawn artwork into free downloadable colouring in templates https://rachelellen.co.uk/offers/free-digital-downloads/

“We’ll have a different theme each week with four images available and all we ask is for people to share their wonderful creations with us on Instagram @rachelellencard and Facebook @rachelellendesigns so that we can share them with others!”

The first week’s theme was Rainbows, in keeping with the current community trend of displaying them in windows to show support and keep people smiling! “We hope it helps to spread positivity, strength and kindness at this uncertain time,” says Rachel.

A rainbow, together with hearts and the supportive message ‘keep going, you are not alone’, features on a wonderful downloadable and printable e-card that Rachel has created as a thank you to those who subscribe to Rachel Ellen Designs either via Facebook or its website.

The publisher has also put together special ‘Staying at home’ page on its website which offers some great bundles of products which people can use to keep themselves and children of all ages entertained during this difficult time. These range from specially selected activity packs as well as greeting card selections that will really help families to stay in touch with their friends and loved ones.
